EVE

When you think about it,

It’s really kind of sad

How Eve was tempted with

Something she already had.

It seemed it wasn’t enough,

That she was supplied…

She needed to feel as though

She helped to provide.

Deep knowledge and great wisdom

Was what the fruit gave

She wanted to be just like Him

Instead of being His slave.

Sounds kind of familiar?

Cause Satan did the same

He wanted to be just like Him

But down to earth he came

To infest and temp the rest of us

He started out with Eve

She already had the knowledge

But she did not believe.

So here we are today,

Still wanting to be like God,

Not realizing it’s how we were created,

I find that rather odd.
